User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB MP3 Player (Silver)
Good MP3 Player. Great value for the money. The seller was no problem.

The only problem I found with the equipment is that it does not have the feature to program a schedule recording of radio like other MP3 players. Fore example record FM radio from 6:30 to 7:00 Monday to Friday.

Other problems are not with the equipment but with Raphsody that sometimes generate problems transfering to the external memory card.

4 Stars Great device!
A lot of function for the money spent. Easy to set up and use. Read reviews before ordering (screen easily scratced) so I modified the shipping protector to protect the screen. Added attachments also great (cover, armband, charger). Minimum volume level is too high for me in quiet room.

5 Stars Great machine
This is for my wife who uses it for exercising. I have tried many machines and none have done the job of being easy to use, holding lots and being easy to load (my job). I tried a ipod nano 4th gen and returned it to wal-mart in 45 minutes… completely non-intuitive. This Sansa does it all and with 8 gig holds over 1200 songs easy. Finally, I think she will be happy with this mp3 player! And it is drag and drop, what a joy.

5 Stars Everything I wanted in a player
Th 8bg Fuze is a home run. Since I’ve purchased it, it’s come down in price so the deal is even sweeter.

It sounds great, looks great, and it gets along with my computer. The capacity is fantastic and it’s expandable with a MicroSD card.

I’ve never had an issue with battery life. I can charge it as I sit here and type on my PC.

The unexpected bonus is that this little device is great for sharing photos. My coworkers always bug me about not carrying pictures of my children in my wallet. Now I just show them this while playing a slide show of dozens of pics.

The only problems I have are the stock earbuds (I already lost the felt cover) and the fact that I can’t play podcasts in my order. I just put my podcasts in another folder to get them to play in order from oldest to newest (hat tip, O.T. Holland). The more laborious way is to edit the metadata through Windows Explorer. It’s time consuming and not as slick.

I haven’t explored the use of a MicroSD card yet, but it looks like 2GB is pretty inexpensive (like 6 bucks!!).

1 Star Get an IPOD or Zune, don’t waste your cash on this.
All I can say is get an IPOD or a ZUNE as they are the most reliable/durable units on the market for portable music. I own both (IPOD 5.5 gen 30gb, IPOD classic 80 gb and Zune 120gb). This Sensa unit is terrible, the controls are unresponcive, horrid ffd and rewind functionality, when you copy alot of songs at one time (my collection is over 14000 mp3’s) it crashes or loses files and when it boots up afterwards the songs it said were copied are gone. Nothing but a cheap headache. The battary life for a mare 8gb player is nothing to brag about either, and good luck charging it for that matter. You can plug it in all night and when you turn it on the next day it may sometimes last 5 seconds and tell you too charge it, esspessially if you have 5-8 gb space used. This thing is garbage. All the same problems as the Sandisk I bought 3 years ago just in a new skin with new added technical problems, classic Sandisk horrid software and to top it off a worse less responcive click wheel.

5 Stars Excellent
I was looking for a mp3 player for work. My wife has an IPod nano, I really liked hers but I couldn’t bring myself to spend that kind of money twice. I bought the fuze and am very glad I did! I love it. I work 12 hour shifts and have been listening to it at work for three straight days now and my battery level is just below half charge! It takes a little bit to get used to navigating through the screens if you are used to a nano. But everything is very well laid out. Another thing I really like is the back side is coated with a type of rubber so you don’t have to worry about it scratching on everything (my wifes nano has about 50 scratches on the back) The only thing I don’t really care for is the head phones, they sound good they are just a little old school. That’s ok though I bought this for the player not the head phones, and they are easily replaced especially with the money I saved by not buying an IPod. One more thing, my wife asked if I would trade. I told her not a chance.

5 Stars Perfect!!!!!!!
Just so you know I bought this at radioshack, before I found it on amazon.

But no matter where you buy it, this is a great mp3 player! It does everything, videos, photos, music, audiobooks, radio, record off the radio, and a voice recorder. Of course the sansa doesnt entirely match up to the style of the iPod but it beat it in features like the micro SD card reader, and not to mention it’s cheaper than the iPod nano.

BUY IT NOW, DONT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Stars Easy to use plenty of storage
After reading the reviews hear and on the internet Sansa Fuze was by far the best of the Mp3s (I dnd’t want to get an Ipod). I searched all over for the bset price and Amazon was it. It was so easy to use and the sound was great. It is lght weight, small and sleek

5 Stars Great little MP3 player
Works as expected. Media on micro SD card integrates flawlessly into the library and is a cheap way to increase storage space. Sound quality is great. I got this because I don’t want to use itunes or any special software to put music on it. You can simply plug it into any computer and send stuff to it. If you want to, you can even use the space as a flash drive. Recommended because of the expandability and low price.

5 Stars Excellent iPod killer
i gotta say after owning the mini and the 2nd gen Nano, i am quite frankly blown away by this lil sleek thing. The menus r simple and the sound is very good. I tried the video, but it was a bit too small for me. for Seventy two bucks, skip the new nano and get 2 of these puppies for the same moolah. i would recommend it to anybody. go 4 it.
