5 Stars Great product
This item was purchased for a mens club that frequently has programs including powerpoint presentations. This projector is very adequate with outstanding brightness and reasonable zoom capabilities. It is quite easy to operate and functions equally easy with PC’s and Mac’s. The lower resolution does cause text images to be a little fuzzy on a large screen but this has not been a problem.
5 Stars No one uses this at home???
Unless I missed a review it loooks like everyone is buying this for running Powerpoint or something similar at the job. Just because it says it’s for meetings doesn’t mean it won’t work as your TV. ![]()
I bought this thing for the entertainment room in my basement. I can’t recommend it enough. $588?! Are you kidding? TOTAL BARGAIN! Do NOT waste hundreds more on something that might have a 5% better picture. Just throwing money away if you do.
I run my regular TV through it as well as a Hi-Def connection for the Xbox. I connect my laptop to it and we watch Netflix movies on the big screen.
Picture is excellent. 2000 ANSI is perfect for nearly all lighting conditions. Xbox is STUNNING. Made a huge difference in picture quality. Runs hi-def with an optional cable (buy a generic cable. Epson wants $100 for the cable. I paid $15. Wake up Epson, no one is paying $100 for that cable. At least I hope not….) It’s ONLY 1080i through the HDMI port, but for less then $600? Totally worth it.
300 hours on my bulb and it’s rated for 2000 hours at the HIGH setting. I use the low setting which makes very little difference in the brightness of the picture but it is supposed to add another 1000 hours of bulb life.
LOVE Epson, but their accessories need to be repriced. Cannot recommend this enough.
5 Stars Use with Smartboard
I use this projector with a smartboard in my high school classroom each and every day. It powers up quickly, is bright enough for all to see, and doesn’t require that I replace the bulb each year. A great projector for the money. I added an extension for the cord from the computer to the projector as the one that is provided is pretty short.
5 Stars cine en casa
Super para ver películas en casa… muuuuuuy económico y de gran calidad. Muy fácil de usar y con un montón de opciones fáciles de manejar para mejorar la imagen según la actividad (juegos, presentaciones, películas).
5 Stars Has already paid for itself in my opinion!
Needed a projector to present a slide show at my daughters graduation dinner, looked at renting one and at $100 a pop decided to take a chance on this. Easy set up and great projection! Have already used it for another slide show for my parents anniversary party and also to project movies on the side of the house for outdoor movie night! My husband needs it this week for an office dinner presentation so in a short 5 months we have already used it enough times to justify it’s purchase vs. a rental. (Used my amazon dollars from my credit card so the price couldn’t have been any better!) Honestly, I’m not a business user but I couldn’t imagine what else you could want in a projector. I’m thrilled we purchased this product!

PT D4000U DLP Proj XGA 1600 1 4000 Lumen Dual Lamp DVI HD HD15

Panasonic’s DLP system projectors have taken another step forward. Now they produce even better images while maintaining all of their highly reliable functions. Visibility has been improved in rooms with the lights turned on, and durability has been increased with the AC lamp. The PT-D4000U offers 4,000 lumens of Off On brightness, thanks to the developed AC lamp and more efficient reflectors and synthetic mirror. Real-life images are also produced in rooms with the lights turned on.The system daylight view function uses an image processing circuit to compensate for the loss of color saturation that occurs when light reflects onto the screen from bright surroundings. It is especially effective for producing crisp, sharp images in dark portions containing gradation. The function can be adjusted in three steps.

4 Stars Great projector
We are using the projector in our theater room and it works great. We have a screen about 4′ X 8′ and the picture is clear and very enjoyable. It is not HD, but the quality is plenty good for us.
5 Stars Great Buy
This projector is an excellent value. I spent a month trying to decide whether to buy a 32″ LCD or a projector. I made my decision and am very happy. For the same price of a 32″ LCD i have a 90″ screen in my living room that’s clear and bright.
With all the lights on in my apartment the image is still bright and very visible.
The only problem is direct sunlight makes is hard to see.
Other than that this is one of my favorite purchases…
1 Star Overheated the first time my company used it. Thanks.
Overheats. This was the first time we used this product. It’s currently at ViewSonic getting fixed, because Amazon refuses to send us a new one.
4 Stars Finally got it up and working!
Bought this for great price and free replacement bulb, but had several frustrating days trying to get it up and running on a Vista Computer (it worked fine right out of the box with the XPs in the house).
I had to do a restore on the Vista computer because the projector has an installation disk that installs “drivers” even though you don’t really need them and that was the issue in the whole process -those “drivers” did all sorts of mucking about the Vista computer’s system. Don’t bother to use the installation CD on Vista except to read the manual (which isn’t included in a paper format).
Once it was working it has a nice clear picture and seems as if it will do the job. But, getting to this point was a tad frustrating…not for the easily frightened or easily frustrated computer user. (My own computer user ranking is “almost nerd” which means I know exactly enough to be dangerous.)
3 Stars Nice projector.
I bought this projector instead other, because in the web page they said that it comes with a replacement lamp, but when I receive it they say that this promotion was over. But in the web they show it until now. ???
I use it to wach movies, Fine image, but Noise.
