This is a great, well made and sturdy cable. You can just tell that it’s high quality when you get it and hold it in your hand. I have another HDMI cable that I payed more for at Frys and this cable is a lot better than it is. I highly recommend this cable.

I think this tv is fantastic. The order came pretty quick, and it was free delivery, and the quality of the picture is beautiful. I am now forever in love with HDTV, the colors in the picture are just awesome and amazing.
1 Star Sound is horrible.
I got this television today and as soon as I turned it on noticed how terrible it sounded. The picture was great, but I couldn’t get around the tinny sound that made to tv seem loud no matter how I lowered the volume. I tried manipulating and could not find a decent setting. It’s the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. I generally like Toshiba products so I was very disappointed with this television and am sending it back tomorrow morning. If you care at all about how your television sounds, do not buy this TV.

Got this TV and thought the video features were great…but the sound was awful – very “tinny” sounding speakers. Sounded like a bad Nextel phone! Could not even add external speakers because there is no audio output jack – only optical digital outputs. We bought this to use in our kitchen, and have no room to hook up a surround system. We don’t want that just to watch the news, etc., so the TV went back.

NOTE: this is a general review of Toshiba’s customer service center. Should you have any concerns about what may happen when or if you tv breaks, this is the chaos and frustration you will find in dealing with them. Please go with a different brand…
We bought a TV/DVD combo from Toshiba as a gift from Santa last year for my 8-year old so that she could watch her Full House and Lizzie McGuire movies on it in her bedroom. Unfortunately, after 4 months, the tv’s picture stopped working. She told me to send it back to Santa, so off it went to our local authorized Toshiba repairman, as you cannot return these items to Amazon after a certain period of time. We were told by Toshiba that the tv was under full warranty for parts and service. The repairman said no. We would have to pay at least $80 in service repairs. Well, it’s been six months and we have yet to see our tv. The part that was supposedly broken was out of stock. Toshiba has sent out part after part after part…spending more in shipping and parts I’m sure than we actually paid for the tv. Now they are shipping out their 4th part…and we still have no tv and it’s November. NOTE: the Toshiba representatives were rude and their supervisor (Dave Thomson) was scripted and condescending. TOSHIBA DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT AND DOES NOT HELP ITS CUSTOMERS.
My daughter got so upset that Santa didn’t return her tv that we had to buy her another tv a few months ago. Then, she overheard one of the numerous heated discussions between my husband and Toshiba. Every time my husband called, we were told the issue would be “escalated”. The representatives are scripted and said whatever they could to passify us. In the end, we were told by Toshiba’s supervisor (Dave Thomson) that this was their final decision…to just continue to keep trying to fix an inferior product with no hope that it may get fixed. By the time we get the tv back, if we get it back, it will no longer be under warranty.
In the end, with no return of her original tv and the numerous phone calls to/from Toshiba, my daughter finally got the clue and realized Santa doesn’t exist. Thanks Toshiba. MAY NO PARENT EVER RELY ON YOUR PRODUCT AGAIN! THE TECHNOLOGY IS LOUSY AND YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AN EMBARRASSMENT! GIVEN HOW TIGHT CONSUMERS’ WALLETS ARE THIS SEASON, I HOPE PEOPLE LOOK PASSED YOUR BRAND AND SELECT A BETTER CHOICE.
FYI…When we purchased the tv, it was not made clear to us that it would be outdated within 14 months with the switch to digital.

I bought this to connect my upscaling DVD player with a new Samsung LCD TV which has no DVI inputs. The picture was pink and snowy at 720p, then flickered on and off when I changed the output to 1080i (while still being pink and snowy). I connected the player to the TV using a composite cable and the picture was fine although it couldn’t upconvert. Given the other reviews here, it seems like this cable works great or it doesn’t work at all. Do you feel lucky?

When I first received the cable it worked fine. Then one day the screen turned white, thought it was my componets, but it wasn’t, it was the cable.

Used free shipping and it got here in 4 days (Left Friday and arrived Monday). So I guess that’s fast for free shipping, of course it left Atlanta and it’s destination was Smyrna. I probable could have just picked it up if they let me.
The DVI plugs from the HD Box to a HDMI input in the HDTV. The difference is slightly better then the component cables. The TV actually takes a second or two longer to grab the signal from the cable box when you first turn it on. But I’m guessing it has more to do with the cable box then the actually cable.
The cable gets 5 stars because it does what I bought it to do, it’s a great price, and it was available for Super Saving Shipping. I’ll probable get a 2nd one once I get another HD Box hooked up in the bedroom.

5 Stars Great big-screen HDTV!!
I waited around for a little over a year, researching, saving money and biding my time until prices came down for 50inch and up full HD tv’s, and I’m very happy that I did. This 61inch Samsung LED-light engine DLP tv has one of the best pictures among all HD tv’s, (in my opinion). Great colors, brightness, blacks, no blurry affects (like some lcd’s), huge screen. All positives.
The only minuscule thing with this tv, (and I don’t even have a problem with it), is that if you sit too close, and too far to the side, it will obscure the picture some. But in all reality, noone sits very close to a big-screen tv anyway. so this has not even been a problem for me.
I’m running a PS3 and DirectTV full HD channels through this tv, and I must say I’m blown away. My buddy bought a 42inch full-hd plasma for just under what I paid for this 61inch… Awesome awesome awesome… If you’re having any misgivings about buying this or the 56inch version, I would not hesitate. Samsung got it right with this LED light engine technology.
5 Stars Second one’s a charm
I bought one of these in the middle of December and it had a minor defect. So minor, that Samsung said that it was within specifications and wouldn’t repair it. The problem was that there was a faint discoloration in the bottom right corner of the screen. It was only noticeable in dark scenes or when a film would be letterboxed.
Well, Amazon was great and let me replace my set for a new one, and so far I have had no problems at all. The title is a little misleading though, this is my third 61″ LED from Samsung. I don’t count the first though because it was an open-box from Circuit City and it had a horrible LED engine problem. I blame it on the previous owner and not Samsung.
I highly recommend this set to any person that wants to see HD movies and games the way they were meant to be seen

I am extremely pleased with the purchase of my first HDTV set ( Samsung 61 inch DLP set with LED light source). The purchase through Amazon.com went very smoothly and the delivery and setup was trouble free. The picture is excellent, the remote is very user-friendly, and best of all, the set is very energy saving due to the LED light system. I would definately recommend this set to anyone looking for a large screen HDTV set!

I purchased this HDTV after lots of searching for the best bang for my bucks. I beleive I got it. My set was delivered in about half the time Amazon said it would take. The setup was simple and straight forward, in other words, I didn’t have to read a lot of instructions just to get to see how the set was going to look. I did have to go to my cable company and swap out my DVR for a HD DVR and the HD makes a world of difference. In my opinion the picture quality is better than the theatre and you don’t have to listen to the unruly kids. So far, I love it and am very pleased with this purchase.

4 Stars A Great First HDTV experience
After shopping for a couple years, I finally bought this set. The picture is big, bright, and very adjustable. The sound is better than I’ve heard on other tvs — there are only two speakers, so it’s not going to sound like a 5.1 system.
What really impresses me is Samsung’s warranty. After a few days, I noticed a problem, and called them. It turns out that the warranty is for 1 year, no-charge inhome service. The tech was just here, and the issue turned out to be a minor adjustment. (HINT: Leave the picture size at 16:9.)
Overall, I love this set. It’s not quite as crisp as a plasma or good LCD, but who wants to spend that kind of money for a screen half the size of this one? I haven’t tried Blu-Ray yet, but am looking forward to it.
Get this set while you can — there’s no bulb to replace and when you turn the TV on, it warms up in about 10 seconds.

5 Stars Extremely satisfied with this product
I purchased this LCD on September 4. White glove delivery was excellent, and it was delivered sooner than estimated (5 days to rural Minnesota). The color, clarity and overall picture on this LCD is incredible. Digital SD looks pretty darned good (better than on my LG plasma), and the HD picture simply blows us away. Awesome! I tweaked the settings a bit to fit our taste. I have it connected to HD cable box via HDMI cable. I tweaked the sound, and I don’t find it bad it all. It’s in an armoire so maybe that helps the sound resonate. Regardless, not bad sound at all. And as I said the picture is stunning and beautiful. I highly recommend this LCD. I liked it so much that I ordered the LN46A550 for our living room, which has a lot of windows in it, and which will be connected to existing Onkyo home theater. We are absolutely satisfied with the 37″ LCD and with Amazon.
4 Stars Shipping Surprise
While we saved to get the LN37A550 (we both liked the picture in a big box store and it was the only 37 inch that we could find that would fit in our current entertainment center) I really monitored the offerings from Amazon. Both my grown sons swear by this place. I remember reading over and over about how great the “White Glove” delivery was and that was my primary motivation to go with Amazon over any of the other vendors advertising here. Bottom line, I didn’t notice that somewhere along the way “White Glove” changed to 40 inch or larger so I was very surprised when one guy with a hand truck showed up with a box that looked like it fell of the truck and he had backed over it. I will say that once out of the box it showed no signs of damage and I was asked to plug it in, test the remote and get a picture before he took off. Turned out I didn’t have the right cable to really test the HD features but the picture is very good in regular definition.

I purchased this Samsung after reading several reviews. Picked it up on special sale here on Amazon. I am very pleased with it, and give it a 5 star as far as I’m concerned. Some reviews are a little critical of the speaker sound, but it seems just fine to me. Of course you can add better speakers very easily if you wish.
The Amazon White Glove delivery was prompt, with no setup problems encountered. While there are other HD set out there, you won’t go wrong buying this model. The 37″ screen is just right size for where I have the set located.

I purchased Samsung LN37A550 from Amazon (shipped from 6th Ave Elec) in October, ordering on Tuesday and receiving the next Monday. I had looked at the Sony and LG 37″ hdtv’s also but settled on the Samsung because of the excellent customer reviews and I liked the small bezel and 37″ width.
The set arrived doubled boxed, uncrating and setup were extremely easy as the Samsung user manual is very user friendly. My one complaint is the “tinny sound”, I adjusted the “equalizer” settings making the sound more acceptable. We are delighted with picture quality, especially football games in hd. The factory settings are OK but there is a review where a customer listed his settings that were very helpful. I wanted to buy a Samsung upconverting DVD player so we could use the same remote, but after reading customer reviews I got a Sony upscaling player instead, you should see “Planet Earth” spectacular, althought the little speakers vibrate. Love this set and the buying experience via Amazon was great.
